Grounded in Hawaiian values, Friends of the Future strives to
- preserve and perpetuate the Island’s treasured cultural anchors by hosting programs and initiatives that provide deep hands-on, place-based learning opportunities
- create connections among Hawaiʻi Island’s diverse people so they can openly contribute their deepest values, create shared visions and continuously improve their communities.
- convene formal and informal opportunities that empower community action.
- continuously strengthen our operating structure to support individuals with vision and passion to become, and stay, actively engaged in sustained community improvement.
